Is it possible that my PSU is accidentally pushing more power than the SSD needs, so that the circuitry inside the hard drive is making that sound as it's protecting the disk? My PSU is a Cooler Master Extreme 2 Power Plus 625W. It's the only thing that's physically connected to the SSD when that sound happens.
